It is a pain in the -ss to get the guage on the stem without loosing air. The shape should have been considered due to the m/c rim.

I used this gauge for years, until I lost it, and it worked fine. Like most newer gauges, the application to the stem is a bit fussy, but acceptable, and it gets in where others don’t. When I replaced the lost gauge I got the talking model from Road Gear and it’s worth the extra price. I got a gift talking gauge for my car, and it seemed like a stupid gimmick. But on a bike you often have the gauge in a position where you can’t see it, so you have to pull it off to read it, then get it back on just straight for the next try. With the talker (which announces in half-pound increments) you can bleed down to your target without looking. No backlight needed, either. If you don’t need that, the MS-4710B is a winner.

This gauge would be GREAT if it were 1/3 to 1/2 the size. Make it on the same model as the keychain gauge add a backlight … it would be perfect. As it is too big too clumsy.

I have used this gauge for a few years. As others have noted, it is the only digital gauge that allows you to reach into tight spaces, for example on the rear wheels on Touring model Harleys. It is true that there is a knack for getting a solid, straight-on connection with the tire stem. If you are hesitant, or not right on the money, all you do is let air out instead of measuring the air pressure. On the other hand, the gauge is great for the fact that, once you do get a good reading, the gauge speaks the reading (It’s fun to switch it over to Spanish). I generally add some air first, then reach around the rear tire with both hands, and use the gauge to let a bit of air out at a time until it announces the right pressure. Contrast that with using a pencil style gauge. You can wrestle them in position, too, but then you have to take them out–without disturbing the stick part–in order to read the result. If you happen to be over 50 years old or so, there is also the issue of reading the darn things! Not so with you handy dual language Accutire buddy talking you through the procedure!
Update: As others have pointed out, this is not the talking version of the Accutire motorcycle gauge. Other than that, it is the same as the earlier model.

This tire gauge works great to check tire pressure on my Kawasaki Ninja. Other tire gauges are difficult to use since the placement of the stems are in the center of the wheel along with getting around the disc brakes. I already had a Accutire gauge for the car but it did not have the angle head by which I have never had any issues with it so the quality should be consistant. Very pleased with my purchase since I could not find one local and Amazon is never an issue with ordering anything.
